There are several contraindications to Clear & Brilliant laser. Some of the most common ones are outlined below:

• Active infections, open wounds, cold sores, inflammation.

• Diagnosis of a photosensitive autoimmune disease such as Lupus or Scleroderma

• Sensitivity or disorder to UV light

• Propensity to keloid formation

• Current Isotretinoin (Accutane) treatment or within the past six months

• Irritation or peeling from previous laser procedures or chemical peels

The number of treatments of Clear & Brilliant laser is designed based on your skin’s concern and desired treatment. Typically, Clear & Brilliant laser is performed every 3 to 4 weeks, with an average of 5 treatments. Each treatment takes approximately 60 minutes. After your laser procedure, the treated areas may feel like fine sandpaper, which is not noticeable to others. This rough, dry skin represents the “mico-peeling” response of the skin to the Clear & Brilliant laser and is easily improved by applying moisturisers.
