Skin rejuvenation

TREATMENTS

Skin rejuvenation is about refreshing and renewing the skin - improving the look of texture, tone, radiance and fine lines. At W.D.I Clinic, it's rarely a single treatment. It's a plan built around your skin, often combining approaches that work on the surface with those that support the skin more deeply.

Our approach to skin rejuvenation

Skin ages and changes at more than one level - the surface (texture, pigmentation, dullness), the structure beneath (collagen, elasticity, firmness), and the skin's overall health and hydration. No single treatment addresses all three, which is why we build rejuvenation as a plan rather than a one-off.

A plan typically combines a resurfacing treatment for the surface with treatments that support skin quality underneath, sequenced so each supports the next. Your nurse will assess which layers need attention and in what order and how skincare fits alongside.

Results build over a course rather than after a single visit, and most people continue with maintenance once they've reached the skin they're happy with.

What to expect at your consultation

Your nurse will take a full medical history and assess your skin at each level - surface, structure and overall health, to understand what's contributing to how it looks. We'll talk through which treatments may suit you, how they'd be combined and sequenced, what a course involves, and costs.

Under Australian advertising guidelines (TGA), some treatment options can't be discussed on our website, so the full range of options is always discussed in person.

Frequently asked questions

What is skin rejuvenation?

+

It's a broad term for treatments that refresh and renew the skin - improving the look of texture, tone, radiance and fine lines. At W.D.I Clinic it's usually a combination of treatments planned around your skin rather than a single procedure.

Which skin rejuvenation treatment is best?

+

There's no single best, it depends on what your skin needs. Surface concerns like pigmentation and texture often suit laser or peels; skin quality and hydration often suit Rejuran; scarring often suits microneedling. Most plans combine more than one, and your nurse will recommend the right mix at your consultation.

Why combine treatments?

+

Skin changes at more than one level - surface, structure and overall health, and different treatments address different levels. Combining them, in the right order, tends to give a better overall result than any one alone.

I have a wedding or event coming up, when should I start?

+

Ideally three to six months out, as most rejuvenation results build over a course rather than instantly. There are also options that suit the final weeks before an event, when downtime needs to be minimal. Tell your nurse your date at your consultation and we'll plan around it.

How many sessions will I need?

+

Most rejuvenation plans involve a course of several sessions spaced weeks apart, with results building gradually, then maintenance. Your nurse will map out a plan for your skin.

Is there downtime?

+

It varies by treatment - some have little or none, others a short recovery period. Your nurse will explain what to expect for each option in your plan.
