It's not a standalone treatment; it's an addition to a resurfacing appointment, chosen when your nurse feels it may help support your skin's recovery and results. Whether it suits your plan and which product is used is discussed at your consultation.
What to expect at your consultation
Recovery is planned as part of every resurfacing treatment, not separately. Your nurse will explain what to expect in the days afterwards for your specific treatment, give you a written aftercare plan, and talk through any in-clinic options that may help support recovery, and whether they're worthwhile for you.

Recovery follows the primary treatment, typically redness for 24–48 hours, then dryness or flaking for a few days, with fresh skin by around week two. Your nurse will explain the timeline for your specific treatment.
What aftercare do I need?

Gentle cleansing, a barrier-supporting moisturiser, strict daily sun protection, and avoiding actives, heat and makeup for the period your nurse advises. You'll receive a written plan.
