The administration of antiwrinkle treatment, namely botulinum toxin is a quick, safe and non-invasive injectable treatment which smooths wrinkles, rebalances facial features and creates a younger, more refreshed look.

For many a chief concern is ageing skin, fine lines and wrinkles, which we know is a natural part of ageing. There is a variety of factors that contribute to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Some examples include cellular changes, collagen depletion, hormone loss, continual muscular contraction, and external factors, such as sun damage and smoking.
Botulinum toxin injections are commonly used to reduce the appearance of fine lines and wrinkles. It is also a widely used non- surgical treatment for Jawline slimming (masseter injection), bruxism treatment and hyperhidrosis.
The medication is administered by injection and works by blocking the release of acetylcholine, a chemical that signals muscles to move, therefore relaxing, and preventing the contraction of the facial muscles that lead to the formation of fine lines and wrinkles. Despite commonly being used to treat existing lines, botulinum toxin is most effective when used as a preventative treatment. Relaxing the target area and preventing ‘dynamic lines’ (those that only appear on muscular movement), will reduce and prevent the permanent formation of deep, ‘static lines’ (those that are continuously present).
Results can be seen within 3-4 days following the procedure and continue to improve in the week or two following, the longevity of action is dependent on the area being treated and individual factors. There is minimal down time following your treatment, therefor you can continue your day as normal.
